Will You Have Regrets?
The bookstores are filled with biographies of "successful" people who look back and say, "I wish I had spent more time with my family. Now that I am old, I can see now the things that matter...and I missed them." I don't want to end my life on that note. God has given me the task of parenting NOW.

Question: What words can I use to bless my kids?

Answer: The Bible is filled with words of "blessings" from God to us (His children) and from biblical parents to their children. When we regularly bless our children we are using a spiritual powerful tool to encourage their hearts. My favorite verse that I use to bless my kids each night comes from Numbers 6:24, "May the Lord bless you and keep you, may the Lord make His face to shine upon you...and to give you peace." If you skim through the letters of the New Testament, you will find many more blessings. Of course, these are not magic formulas! Write your own...let them come from your heart. Your kids will come to love and even crave these daily blessings from you. Many more biblical blessings are discussed in the fourth part of the VP series.
